Newark International Airport (EWR) is the airport closest in proximity to our hotel in Fairfield, NJ (approx. 30 minutes by car). Located outside of the five boroughs, we highly recommend that guests traveling by air make arrangements to arrive/depart from EWR to avoid Manhattan traffic. The airport is a hub for United Airlines, making travel options from cities like Denver, Houston, and Los Angeles plentiful.
Newark International Airport (EWR)
John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK)
JFK is the busiest NYC airport and the furthest from our hotel block in Fairfield, NJ (~40 miles). The car ride from JFK to Fairfield requires crossing through Manhattan-proper, meaning the drive can range anywhere between 1.5 and 4 hours. As JFK is one of the largest international hubs in the world for international flights, we only recommend this option to our guests traveling from outside of the US searching for a straight flight path
LaGuardia Airport (LGA)
LGA is the smallest of the NYC airports, and slightly closer to Fairfield, NJ than JFK (~30 miles). Getting to NJ still requires crossing through Manhattan, meaning the car ride varies between 40 minutes and 2 hours on any day. The airport is a hub for Delta, making it ideal for those traveling thru/from Atlanta, Detroit, Seattle, and London.
The venue and hotel block are located just off NJT's Montclair-Boonton line; however, travel by train in Bergen, Passaic, and surrounding counties is mostly commuter-oriented and notoriously unreliable. We don't recommend solely relying on rail as your means of travel; however, there are a few hybrid options
seacaucus junction
Secaucus Junction is accessible via all NJT lines. Trains run regularly at all hours. Our hotel is a short 20 minute car ride away, and venue is even closer, just a 15 minute car ride away. Secaucus is busy, though it's most popular for local commuters, meaning Ubers can be tricky to find. We recommend making carpool arrangements in advance.
Newark Penn
Newark Penn Station is the closest Amtrak station to our hotel and venue. Located 20-25 minutes away from both by car, the NWK is served by the Amtrak Acela, Northeast Regional, Pennsylvanian, and more. Certain PATH trains also serve NWK as well NJT. Various carshare services (Uber, Lyft, Taxis) are available onsite
The easiest way to get here (and get around here) is by car. Our hotel block is located just off of I-80 E, and our venue is located about 10 minutes from the NJ Turnpike. The hotel has plenty of parking onsite, free of nightly charge. Clifton is a very residential suburb without the heavy traffic and large freeways standard in a big city, making driving here a breeze.
The area is well-known and very well-mapped. Any standard GPS application will direct you where you need to go without issue. If you do have questions regarding how to navigate the area, please reach out to the Bride and Groom.

renting a car
You can rent a small car from EWR for about $50/day. Ubers are available throughout the area, though not as plentiful as in New York.

Located just 10 minutes away from Clifton, the Meadowlands Complex is a large sports and entertainment arena better-known by its sub-attractions' names. MetLife Stadium, American Dream Theme Park, and the Meadowlands Racetrack & Casino comprise the complex, each of which offer its own calendar of events suitable for different audiences. Tickets to enter each arena are required, so we recommend reading up on what each attraction has to offer before planning your visit.

manhattan
Located just 30 minutes away from Clifton, New York City proper is easily accessible from the New Jersey-side of the Hudson. If you haven't seen the city before, we highly recommend making at least a day-trip. We may be biased, but we have to say that there really is no other place in the world like the city that never sleeps.
