Alex was a law student at the time at the University of Pittsburgh, while Amber was trekking through her career at Goldman Sachs in New York City. To this day, Amber will endlessly complain about the difficulty of building a career as a young woman on Wall Street; however, nothing in life has ever been as remotely difficult than convincing Alex to go on a date with her. 

It took a lot of blood, sweat, and tears, but Amber eventually convinced Alex to go out with her, and the two started dating. She was thrilled to say "yes" when Alex popped the question in Central Park at sunset on 9/21/24 (yes, the 21st night of September). 

Amber and Alex are forever grateful to their best friends for bringing their paths together. They're incredibly excited to see their love come full circle as Taryn and John will be the Matron of Honor and Best Man in their wedding in May 2026.
